Office 2016 and Office 365

We here at Right-Tech want to let you know there's an option when it comes to your productivity software. You can go with the more traditional Office 2016 or you can go with the newer Office 365. Depending on your needs and how you intend to utilize the software dictates which choice will be better for you in the end. Don't have any version of Office yet? Office 2016

Office 2016 comes in a few different versions. Whether you are a home user or a business user, different versions bring you different applications and of course different prices. Office 2016 is licensed for the computer it was installed on, meaning you can only install it once.For example,if you got a new computer, you also had to get a new copy of Office 2016.
Here's some of the different versions of Office 2016:



Home & Student
Home & Student is for personal use. If you have a computer at home with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote on it chances are this is what you're using. This version is not licensed for commercial use.



Home & Business
Home & Business is licensed for commercial use. Home & Business has all the essentials: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook. This may be what you're using at your job right now.


Office 365

Office 365 is a subscription based version of Office. Again, the price is different depending on if this is for home use only or if you are buying this for your business. 



Personal
Personal Subscription is the 1 user version of Office 365. It is not licensed for commercial use. It comes with more applications than Office 2016 Home & Student does. Always have the latest, fully installed versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and more. Get the full Office experience on 1 PC or Mac, 1 tablet (including Windows, iPad, and Android), and 1 phone and capture your ideas however you work best—using a keyboard, pen, or touchscreen. Home
Home Subscription is the 5 user version of Office 365. It is not licensed for commercial use. It comes with more applications than Office 2016 Home & Student does. Always have the latest, fully installed versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and more. Get the full Office experience 1 PC or Mac, 1 tablet (including Windows, iPad, and Android), and 1 phone for each of up to 5 users. You also get 1 TB/ of OneDrive cloud storage per user, for up to 5 users. Use the storage for documents, photos, and videos, so you can edit and share them from anywhere, on all your devices.



Business
Office 365 has a variety plans to fit from small business to large enterprise.
