R-Managed AntiVirus


Windows Antivirus protection based on BitDefender scan engine that has low impact on computer performance, yet highly effective at virus detection and prevention!  Simple to use and local US support when you need it.  The following actions are performed daily on your computer:

Daily System Checks

  • Vulnerability (security holes, patches) Checks
  • System Error Checks
  • Antivirus Status Checks
  • Data Disk Integrity Checks
  • Hacker/Invalid Login Checks
  • Windows Services Checks
  • Disk space checks

All of this data is recorded in our system to assess the health of your workstation.  After gathering all of the information it can create an easy to read summary for you.  You will get a workstation weekly report sent to your email every Monday morning letting you know the results of all the data.  Any errors or problems that were identified will be communicated to you.  The report will breakdown the previous week and give you a green √ for pass and a red x for fail for the following categories on each day:

  • Your Computer
  • Antivirus update Check
  • Hacker Check
  • Physical Disk Health Check
  • Critical Events Check - Application log
  • Critical Events Check - Security Log
  • Critical Events Check - System log
  • Vulnerability Check


You may see a red x in your report but there is no reason to worry. Your errors may be related to information found in the critical events check. Checking System Logs
If you would like to read system event logs and see what the errors are perform the following steps:

Windows 7

1. Click on the Start Button in the bottom left corner
2.  Find the My Computer icon in the right column
3.  Right click on the My Computer icon
4.  select the Manage Option
5.  The Event Viewer comes up
6.  Expand the Event log on the left pane
7.  You can now view Application, Security, and System Event Logs.

Windows 8

1. Open the Control Panel
2.  Find and open Administrative Tools
3.  Find and open Event Viewer
4.  Expand the Windows Log tab on the left pane
5.  You can now view Application, Security, and System Event Logs


Running Windows Updates
The following steps will help you run Windows Updates:

Windows 7

1. Click on the Start Button in the bottom left corner
2.  In the search box, type "Update"
3.  Find and open "Windows Update"
4.  In the left pane, click "Check for updates"
5.  select the check boxes for any updates that you want to install and press OK
6.  Click Install Updates

Windows 8

1. Open the Control Panel
2.  Click on the System Icon
3.  In the bottom left corner, click on Windows Update
4.  Click on Check for updates
5.  select the check boxes for any updates that you want to install and press OK
6.  Click Install Updates
